The Kreuzkapelle is a chapel near Wiesen in the Aschaffenburg district in Lower Franconia .

The chapel stands in the Spessart in an open field, west of the village of Wiesen in the direction of Bamberger Mühle , between the mountains Hoher Sang (482 m) and Kreuzberg (480 m). It is located at about 460  m above sea level. NHN directly on Eselsweg near the Wiesener Forest .

In the last days of the Second World War, German soldiers had holed up in the Kreuzkapelle, built in 1883 by Pastor Friedrich Frank . After the war, the building , which was badly damaged by artillery fire, was renovated.

The old Wiesen plague cross from 1610, which was moved to the Kreuzberg in 1882, is now on the gable wall of the Kreuzkapelle.

In the area around the building there is a Way of the Cross with 14 stations that was built in 1873 in front of the chapel .
