Guest Posts

Rapper Olli Banjo

The album contains guest contributions, so-called features , by a total of seven people. The rapper G-Style is represented on the track Die Firma II . Label boss Moses Pelham is featured on the track Geliebter Feind . The collaboration came about because Fader Gladiator made remixes for Moses in the past and the guys get along well. Bruce Barron first supported The Company in the song So It Works . Olli Banjo , on Track Comprende , is probably the most surprising feature, as his style is very different from that of the company . Nesti, who is under contract with the La CosaMia label , is featured in the song That makes us sick . The label colleagues Venture Bros. rap together with Gianni, who has been working with Die Firma for a long time , on the track We take care of it! .

illustration

The cover shows the three artists from head to waist with black suits slightly above the middle. Def Benski on the left has a cigar in his mouth, just like on earlier covers. Fader Gladiator is in the middle with his arms crossed. The murder weapon is shown to the right. Among the three is the group name and the album title. At the very bottom is a landscape with smoke rising in the background. Overall, the cover is quite dark and has a great contrast due to the yellowish sky.

Videos

For the first single game of life one has music video in Las Vegas turned. The video shows on the one hand how the boys have fun, on the other hand it also shows the poverty of the lower class. The picture is often divided into several parts and the colors are bright throughout. The idea comes from Fader Gladiator, the entire AVA produced and the director was Oliver Sommer. On the spot, Tatwaffe married his girlfriend and went on their honeymoon in the United States after filming.

reception

success

The album made it to number 37 in the German album charts and is therefore less successful than the two previous albums. The single Die Eine made it to number 2 in Germany, 32 in Switzerland and 2 in Austria. This makes it the most successful sound carrier release of the band. The Spiel des Lebens single came in 44th place in Germany.

Reviews

The website Hiphop.de gave the album a rating of five out of six possible points. The authors also wrote:

“The company doesn't provide a manual for a better world - but at least enough material to think about. If that gets too much for you, you can party to the party tunes, which, like the thoughtful tracks, were produced in an enormously varied manner by Fader Gladiator. "

On the website laut.de the album was rated four out of five possible points. The author Philipp Gässlein also wrote:

“It would be pointless to discuss whether“ War and Peace ”can now be described as the most successful company album. What is certain, however, is that it fits perfectly into the musical plan of the three conspiracy theorists. Nobody knows where it will ultimately lead, least of all the company itself. As long as the individual steps are so successful, it is not that important. "

In the rating on War and Peace published by the hip-hop magazine Juice , the album received three and a half crowns out of a possible six. The responsible author describes the members of the group as a "well-rehearsed team" that does their job.

“Whether it's a battle or party track, truly epic storytelling or a personal review of the soul, conspiracy theory or consciousness oratio - everything can be found on war and peace . It has always been like that at the company, in this increasingly fast-paced, even arbitrary game, you are a reliable and confident constant, grown up and absolutely to be taken seriously. "
