Kristófer Ingi Kristinsson (born April 7, 1999 in Garðabær ) is an Icelandic football player .

Athletic career

Kristófer played for UMF Stjarnan in his youth . At an early stage he moved into the focus of the Knattspyrnusamband Íslands and took part with the Icelandic junior national team in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , China . In the football competition , he and the team reached the game for third place, in which the European representative won the bronze medal after a 4-0 win over the Cape Verdean national team. Then he stayed in the circle of the national teams and ran for the Icelandic U-16 , U-17 and U-19 national team .

In 2016, the Dutch club Willem II Tilburg brought Kristófer into their junior division. There he went through the individual youth teams and was promoted to the U-21 national team in 2018 . In the same year he made his debut for the club in the Eredivisie when he was substituted on by coach Adrie Koster for Damil Dankerlui on matchday five of the 2018/19 season on September 15 in a 2-2 draw against Excelsior Rotterdam in the middle of the second half . Two minutes after his teammate Fran Sol scored the next goal, he crowned his debut with the equalizer in the 88th minute.
