Kristian Álvarez (born April 20, 1992 in Zapotlanejo , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Álvarez, who emerged from the youth division of the CD Guadalajara , also received his first professional contract with Chivas. He made his debut in the Primera División in an away game played on April 24, 2011 at Cruz Azul , which ended 1-1.

Due to his convincing performance, Gallardo was appointed to the squad of the Mexican U-23 national team , which competed at the 2011 Copa America , but was not used there. Before that, he had already played in the Mexican U-17 selection team . He was also part of the U-20 squad .
