Kristian Zedi (born August 31, 1974 in Essen ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In his youth, Zedi played for Schwarz-Weiß Essen and VfB Essen-Nord . For the 1993/94 season he moved to Rot-Weiss Essen , where he played until the summer of 1997 and played 55 second division games and scored one goal. He then moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf and made 33 second division games in which he scored a goal. For the 1999/2000 season he moved to 1. FSV Mainz 05 , for which he only made two second division games and ended his career in 2002 at the age of only 28 due to a serious injury. Zedi came to 90 second division games in which he scored two goals.

After the end of his career, Zedi successfully completed a course to become a sports specialist and then became head of the office and assistant trainer at SV Meppen , where he worked from 2006 to 2008. In November 2008 he became assistant coach at KFC Uerdingen 05 , but resigned after just one week, as head coach Richard Towa was on leave.

Private

His parents are members of the Hungarian minority in Serbia. His twin brother Rudolf was also a professional soccer player.
