Kristin Nørstebø (born September 9, 1990 in Bærum , Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player who was part of the squad of the Norwegian national team.
Career
In the club
Nørstebø started playing handball in her hometown at Stabæk Håndball in 2003 . From the 2009/10 season the back court player ran for the women's team from Stabæk in the highest Norwegian league. In the summer of 2013 she joined the league competitor Glassverket IF . In the 2014/15 season, Nørstebø and Glassverket took second place in the Eliteserien , behind the record champions Larvik HK . A year later, Nørstebø moved to the Norwegian first division club Vipers Kristiansand . With the Vipers, she won the Norwegian championship in 2018 and was in the final of the EHF Cup that same year . She then signed a contract with Tertnes IL . After two seasons with Tertnes, she ended her career.
In the national team
Nørstebø played 29 times for the Norwegian national youth team and 17 times for the Norwegian junior national team. In 2010 she won the gold medal with the Norwegian national team at the U-20 World Cup . The following year, Nørstebø made her debut for the Norwegian national team on March 26, 2011 , for which she played a total of six internationals. Furthermore, she ran 9 times for the Norwegian B national team. With the Norwegian national beach handball team she took part in the beach handball world championship in 2012 and won the bronze medal.
