Kristin Shi-Copper
Kristin Shi-Kupfer (* 1974 in Essen ) is a German sinologist and political scientist . Her main research interests include the digital society, religious policy as well as social change and social conflicts.
From 2007 to 2011 she reported u. a. for ZEIT Online , Die Tageszeitung , epd , Südwest Presse and Profile from Beijing . In 2010, she has been at the Ruhr-University Bochum on the subject Emergence and Development of Spiritual-Religious Groups in China after 1978 doctorate .
She was a research assistant at the Institute for Sinology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg before becoming head of the research area Politics, Society, Media at MERICS .
