Kristina "Krissi" Börner (born November 8, 1990 in Georgsmarienhütte as Kristina Gessat ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The daughter of soccer coach Jürgen Gessat started her career in 1996 at the age of six at TSG Dissen. After she had gone through all the teams up to D-youth in Dissen , she moved to SV Bad Laer in 2002 . In Bad Laer, she played in the Regionalliga in the 2003/04 season at the age of 13. This was followed by two years in the regional league team at SV Bad Laer, before moving to the B youth team at FC Gütersloh 2000 in summer 2005 .

In the 2011/12 season Gessat reached 2nd place in the 2nd Bundesliga North with Gütersloh . Since the 2nd team of the 1st FFC Turbine Potsdam could not advance, Gütersloh qualified for the women's Bundesliga . On September 9, 2012, she played her first Bundesliga game in the Tönnies Arena . On January 31, 2013, she terminated her contract with FSV Gütersloh 2009 and ended her active career for her studies.

International

At the U-20 World Cup in 2010 , Kristina Gessat was world champion with the German team. She was in the starting line-up in all games, from the first group game to the final, and was never replaced.

Private

On the occasion of the women's soccer World Cup in Germany in 2011, the German Playboy magazine took up the topic and, in addition to Börner, also shot the players Annika Doppler , Julia Simic , Ivana Rudelic and Selina Wagner in the July issue.

Since 2011 she has been studying communication design at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences . Her partner has been the German professional footballer Julian Börner , who was under contract with Arminia Bielefeld , since autumn 2012 . The two married in December 2013.
