Wilhelm Schneider (economist)

Wilhelm Schneider (* 1965 ) is a German economist and university professor.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1984 at Sedanstraße in Wuppertal , training as a bank clerk and practical work as a loan officer at Deutsche Bank AG , he studied economics at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . There he put 1992 the exam for business graduate from.

Subsequently, in 1993 in Göttingen with Helmut Kurt Weber on the subject of "Valuation of credits in the commercial balance sheet of the universal bank", he was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. PhD, at whose chair at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen he also worked as an assistant .

After practical work as a speaker of the financial analysis , most recently as Division Director in Dresdner Bank AG , 2001, he received a reputation as a professor at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences to Rheinbach . There he holds the chair for business administration , in particular for external accounting and corporate taxation.

His teaching and research focus is on international accounting , group accounting , company valuation , integrated balance sheet and profit planning and, in particular, balance sheet analysis .

Since 2013 he has been a member of the complaints committee of the Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs (AQAS eV).

In 2020, the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences was named one of the ten best universities of applied sciences in the field of auditing in a survey by manager magazin and came in 7th.
