Kristina Stanek

Kristina Stanek (* 1985 in Krefeld ) is a German opera, concert and lied singer with a mezzo-soprano voice .

Life

Stanek studied at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and at the Royal Academy of Music in London . Studying in London, which she completed with a Master of Arts with honors after two years , was made possible by a scholarship from the Rotary Foundation. She attended master classes by Marga Schiml , Rudolf Piernay , Barbara Bonney , Grace Bumbry and Helmut Deutsch . In 2006 she was named "Best Young Singer" at the European Music Festival in Rome. In 2007 she won first prize at the Rotary Music Competition and first prize at the Mozart Competition in Prague. During her studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the young mezzo-soprano worked with important conductors such as Sir Colin Davis and Sir Charles Mackerras . In September 2014 Kristina Stanek was awarded the Theater Mask 2014 for her outstanding achievements at the Trier Theater , one of the most important cultural prizes in the region.

Kristina Stanek was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Trier for three seasons from the 2011/12 season , where she a. a. as Carmen, Sesto ( La Clemenza di Tito ), Orfeo ( Orfeo ed Euridice ), Concepcion ( L'Heure espagnole ), Flora ( La traviata ), Hansel ( Hansel and Gretel ), Maddalena ( Rigoletto ), Olga ( Eugene Onegin ) and Prince Orlofsky ( Die Fledermaus ) stood on the stage. Guest engagements have taken her to the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken , the Wuppertaler Bühnen , the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and the Theater Koblenz.

From the 2015/16 season Kristina Stanek is a permanent member of the ensemble at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe , where she will a. as Romeo ( I Capuleti ei Montecchi ), 3rd Lady ( Die Zauberflöte ) and Eliza Doolittle ( My Fair Lady ).
