Kristina van Eyck

Kristina van Eyck (born October 30, 1954 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American - German actress .

life and career

The daughter of the actor Peter van Eyck and his wife Inge von Voris grew up in Switzerland and Munich . After graduating from high school, she studied German and philosophy, and completed an acting and dance training. Engagements at the Staatstheater Stuttgart followed , where she was engaged as a guest.

Van Eyck made her film debut in 1976, before she first became known to a wider audience in 1977 in the film Johnny West, made by her future partner, director Roald Koller . The two became a couple during the shooting of the film and stayed that way until Koller died of suicide on June 13, 1978 .

In later films such as The Woman in the Red Hat and The Kiss of the Tiger , Van Eyck mostly embodied cool, illusion-free women. After that she was mainly seen in television series such as Parkhotel Stern , Ein Fall für Zwei or SOKO 5113 . She also played a supporting role in the telenovelas Verliebt in Berlin , Ways to Happiness and Alisa - Follow Your Heart .
