Kristine Stavås Skistad (born February 8, 1999 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Skistad, which starts for Konnerud Ski, became Norwegian junior champion over 7.5 km classic in 2016 and Norwegian junior champion in sprint and over 5 km classic in 2017. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow , she took 12th place in the sprint and 11th place in the relay. The following year she won the silver medal in the sprint at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Goms . In addition, she ran there to 33rd place in the skiathlon , to seventh place with the relay and to fifth place over 5 km classic. At the Norwegian Junior Championships in Oslo and Steinkjer in 2018 , she won the sprint and 5 km freestyle. In March 2018, she started the cross-country skiing world cup in Drammen for the first time and achieved 51st place in the sprint. After finishing second and first in the sprint at FIS races in Beitostølen and Gålå at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, she picked up her first World Cup points with fifth place at the World Cup in Lillehammer . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2019 in Lahti , she won the gold medal in the sprint and relay. In February 2019 she was Norwegian junior sprint champion, second in sprint at the Norwegian championships in Meråker and 11th in sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol .
