Krisztián Lovassy (born June 23, 1988 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian cyclist .

Athletic career

Krisztián Lovassy has been active in international cycling since 2005. In 2007 he started at the road cycling world championships in Stuttgart in the individual time trial of the U23 class, where he finished 51st. In 2009 he won the first stage of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Gemenc and was fifth overall. In 2012 he started in the road race at the Olympic Games in London , but did not finish. In 2013 and 2017 Lovassy was the Hungarian road race champion, and in 2015 in the individual time trial .

Since 2013 Lovassy has also started internationally on the railroad . In the 2016/17 season, he finished tenth in the overall ranking of the Track Cycling World Cup in the scratch discipline . At the European Railway Championships in 2017 , he won silver in the scratch and at the end of the season won the overall scratch ranking of the Railway World Cup . Up to and including 2019, he won seven national titles on the track.

On the road, Lovassy won a stage of the Tour de Hongrie in 2019 .
