Critical-exegetical commentary on the New Testament

The Critical-Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament (KeK) is a large collection of Bible commentaries on the New Testament . Since it has been available for more than 175 years, it is also referred to as one of the most traditional commentary works of New Testament science .

The volumes are published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht .

The series was founded by Heinrich August Wilhelm Meyer . Currently (as of 2016) Dietrich-Alex Koch is the editor.

Ferdinand Hahn (theologian) belonged to the wider circle of editors .

The first four editions were edited by Friedrich Düsterdieck :

The following two editions were edited by Wilhelm Bousset :

Ferdinand Hahn was still the editor in the mid-1990s.

Commentary on the Apostolic Fathers (KAV), supplementary series to the KeK

The supplementary series currently comprises eight volumes, seven have already been published. The editors (as of 2016) were and are Norbert Brox † , Georg Kretschmar † , Kurt Niederwimmer and Ferdinand Rupert Prostmeier .

The volumes on Didache , Clement's First and Second Epistles , the Epistles of Polycarp , the Martyrdom of Polycarp , the Shepherd of Hermas and the Epistle of Barnabas have already appeared. Volume four of Ignatius' letters is still in preparation.
