Krokom is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Jämtlands län or in the historical province of Jämtland . Krokom is the capital of the municipality of the same name .

Krokom is about 20 kilometers north of Östersund on European route 14 and on Mittbanan . In 2015 the place had 1953 inhabitants on an area of 160 hectares. The largest employer is the public sector.
