Krzysztof Ignaczak (born May 15, 1978 in Wałbrzych ) is a Polish volleyball player . He took part in three Olympic tournaments and was European champion in 2009.

Career

Ignaczak became European champion with the Polish juniors in 1996 and world champion a year later. In 1998 he made his debut in the senior national team . The following season he played in his hometown with Chełmiec Wałbrzych. 1999/2000 he was active at Kazimierz Płomień Sosnowiec before he was committed by AZS Częstochowa . With Częstochowa the Libero 2001 reached second place in the Polish league. The club also finished the next two seasons as runner-up. Then Ignaczak moved to Skra Bełchatów . In 2004 he took part in the Olympic tournament , in which the Poles reached the quarter-finals and took fifth place. With Bełchatów, the Libero won the double of the national cup and championship in 2005. In 2006 and 2007 the club repeated this success. He then came to his current club Resovia Rzeszów . At the Olympic Games in 2008 , Poland finished fifth again after being eliminated in the quarterfinals. In 2009 Ignaczak took part in the European Championship as Polish runner-up and won the title with the national team. Two years later, the Poles finished third in both the World League and the EM 2011 and also came second in the World Cup . In 2012 Ignaczak won the Polish championship with Rzeszów and the world league with the national team . In London he took part in the Olympic tournament for the third time .
