CWKS Resovia is a Polish sports club from Rzeszów in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship . The club, founded in 1905, was one of the first Polish football clubs alongside the clubs from Lviv and Krakow and is considered to be the oldest still existing football club founded on today's Polish territory, although this is doubted by some experts who consider KS Cracovia to be the oldest club.
Football department
In 1905 there was a soccer team in Rzeszów that was named successively Czerwono-Czarni , Championy and Resovia . In 1909 this team was officially registered under the name Resovia .

Volleyball department
Resovia volleyball players play under the name Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in the Polish Volleyball League . In February 2008, the club qualified for the Final Four tournament in the Challenge Cup . In the 2010/11 season the men played very successfully in the CEV Cup with newcomer Georg Grozer junior and reached the semi-finals. In 2011/12 they even reached the final of the CEV Cup and became Polish champions again after a 37-year break. In 2013 the championship was successfully defended with the help of Jochen Schöps .

Basketball department
The basketball players became Polish basketball champions in 1975 . In the title race they prevailed against Wisla Krakow and took part as champions the following year in the qualification for the European Cup, where Resovia could not prevail. In the 1977/78 season, a participation in the Korać Cup followed .
