Legionovia Legionowo is a Polish football club from the city of Legionowo in the Masovian Voivodeship . The club currently plays in the 2nd division , the third highest Polish division.

history

Legionovia Legionowo was founded in 1930. The club played their first game in April 1932 against Hapoel Warszawa , which they won 8-3. On July 18, 1964, the team moved to today's stadium, and won the opening game against Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki 3-2. In the 1980s, the club was called Gwardia . Most of the departments owned the club from 1990, when there were departments for football, rugby, chess, bridge and volleyball. The chess department was transferred to another club, the rugby and volleyball departments became independent of Legionovia. In 2013, the football department rose to the second division for the first time, in which the club played for several years. At the end of the 2017/18 season, they were the last to relegate to the 3rd division. The direct return to the 2nd division followed in 2019. In the cup , they never got past the first round, in which the club lost to Wda Świecie in 2015 , Zagłębie Sosnowiec in 2016 and Chojniczanka Chojnice in 2017 .
