Krzysztof Jakub Wętkowski (born August 12, 1963 in Gniezno , Poland ) is auxiliary bishop in Gniezno .

Life

Krzysztof Wętkowski received on 4 June 1988 the Archbishop of Gniezno and Warsaw , Józef Cardinal Glemp , the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1988 to 1989 he was chaplain of the parish "Saint Martin and Saint Nicholas" in Bydgoszcz. From 1989 to 1994 he studied at the Catholic University in Lublin and was awarded a Dr. iur. can. PhD. In 2008 he was appointed professor of canon law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan . He was Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Gniezno, as well as moderator of the Curia and a member of the Council of Priests and consultor of his Archdiocese.

On November 24, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Glavinitza and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Gniezno. The Archbishop of Gniezno, Józef Kowalczyk , donated him episcopal ordination on December 22, 2012 ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Celestino Migliore , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Gniezno, Henryk Muszyński . His motto State in Fide ("Stand firm in the faith") comes from Paul's first letter to the Corinthians ( 1 Cor 16:13  EU ).
