Anna Kraft

Anna Katharina Kraft (born October 3, 1985 in Haan ) is a German television presenter and former athlete .

Career

Kraft grew up in Leverkusen and passed the Abitur examination at the District Administrator-Lucas-Gymnasium .

In her youth, she was initially active as a track and field athlete at TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen between 2000 and 2008 . During this time she was multiple German champion with the sprint relay. From 2005 she also studied sports science with a focus on media and communication at the German Sport University Cologne . In 2010, Kraft completed her studies in Cologne with a degree in sports science.

Because many injuries prevented her from continuing her athletics career, Kraft orientated himself during her studies with various internships and freelance work. a. in the sports department of the radio station WDR 2 , professionally in the direction of sports journalism and TV moderation.

In 2010, Kraft became part of the editorial team for the football program ran on Sat.1 , from where she switched to Sky Deutschland in December 2011 . Kraft worked there as the youngest presenter of the Sky Sport News HD program . On July 3, 2013, Kraft was announced at a press conference by Sport1 as the new presenter of the daily soccer program Bundesliga . On August 19, 2013, she hosted the program on Sky Sport News HD for the last time, and then stood in front of the camera for Sport1 from September 2013 to June 2015.

In the summer of 2015, Kraft switched to ZDF . There she moderated the ZDF sports report, alternating with Norbert König and Rudi Cerne, as well as at major sporting events and was also regularly involved in the UEFA Champions League and the Bundesliga .

In June 2017 she was in front of the camera for the ZDF crime series Die Rosenheim-Cops in episode 404 "Ridden Out".

In August 2018, Kraft announced her move from ZDF to Eurosport . There she alternates with Wolfgang Nadvornik and presents the talk show Man against Man - The Bundesliga Duel , moderates the international matches of the German U21 national team and works as a field reporter for the Bundesliga broadcasts of Eurosport 2.

In May 2020, she moderated the Monday games on Amazon Prime after ghost games in the Bundesliga during the corona pandemic.

Personal

Anna Kraft lives in Munich . She is in a relationship with football commentator Wolff-Christoph Fuss , who works mainly at Sky Deutschland . The couple became parents to a daughter in 2018. Anna Kraft's father Heinz-Jürgen played for Fortuna Düsseldorf in the late 1950s and later worked as a coach in the youth division of VfL Leverkusen and VfB Hilden .
