The Kshtut ( Tajik Киштӯд ) is a left tributary of the Serafshan in Tajikistan .

The Kshtut rises in the north of the Hissar Mountains at the transition to the Serafschankette . It is fed by the local glaciers . The Kstut initially flows in a westerly direction, later it turns north and cuts through the Serafschan chain. The Kshtut finally ends above Dasthizkazy , 40 km east of panjakent , in the flowing west Zeravshan. The Kshtut has a length of about 60 km. Its catchment area covers approx. 800 km². The mean discharge at the Zerikhisor gauge , about 10 km above the mouth, is 7.33 m³ / s. June and July are the months with the most flow.

In the catchment area of the Kshtut, below the Tschimtarga , the highest peak of the Serafshan chain, lie the Kulikalon lakes .
