Culture agency of the regional association Lippe
The cultural agency of the Lippe regional association emerged from the Institute for Lippe Regional Studies, which was founded in 1971. The core task of the cultural agency is to make regional structures fit for the future by improving the cultural infrastructure, strengthening cross-disciplinary and cross-location cooperation, encouraging young people to engage in cultural activities, recognizing cultural workers and conveying cultural values in order to make Lippe an attractive location and living space maintain and develop.
The cultural agency of the Landesverband Lippe is active in the field of cultural services. The tasks consist of conveying and promoting culture and those working in the arts , promoting the understanding of art and culture, for example by holding symposia , lectures, etc. on current issues in the fields of art and culture. This also includes the promotion of cultural workers, especially from the fields of the visual arts and music, by arranging exhibitions and performances beyond the region, the implementation of artist events and campaigns, the production of printed matter, artist catalogs and advertising material as well as the setting up and supervision of Websites for cultural workers.
The agency is also involved in the development, updating and support of cultural educational offers, in particular for children and young people, in cooperation with schools and other educational institutions, as well as supporting cultural cooperation and networking of cultural activities in the region.
A special service is the establishment and maintenance of a cultural database for the region.
Culture award
The culture agency organizes the awarding of the Lippe regional association's culture prize . The culture prize was awarded for the first time in 1974 on the occasion of the regional association's 25th anniversary. A main prize, a youth prize and a sponsorship prize are awarded every three years.

Schwalenberg grant
The Landesverband Lippe - Kulturagentur - annually awards grants for visual artists in the painting town of Schwalenberg . The scholarship includes remuneration as well as a rent-free apartment in the Künstlerhaus Schwalenberg.
