Culture award of the Dithmarschen district
The Dithmarschen District Culture Prize or Dithmarscher Culture Prize has been awarded in Heide since 1984 and is endowed with 2,500 euros. Until 1990 the prize was awarded annually (1985 and 1986 to two personalities each), thereafter - except in 2002 and 2003 - at longer intervals so far a total of 19 times, always within the scope of a district council meeting .
He honors special achievements in the field of the fine arts of handicrafts, literature and literary studies, music, monument and homeland preservation, which are related to the communal and cultural unity of the Dithmarschen district .
The culture prize is awarded to personalities who were born in Dithmarschen or who live there or who have made an outstanding contribution to the cultural life in this district through their longstanding commitment.
