Kunibert Schäfer

Kunibert Schäfer (* 1957 ) is a German organist , church musician , conductor and university professor .

biography

Kunibert Schäfer studied at the Academy for Catholic Church Music and Music Education Regensburg diploma church music , piano and vocals . A subsequent study of church music A and organ followed at the University of Music and Dance in Munich . After graduating, he also studied two semesters in Harald Feller's organ master class .

From 1990 to 2004 he worked as an organ lecturer, from 1994 as a lecturer for choir conducting and conducting at the Academy for Catholic Church Music in Regensburg. In 2003 he was appointed to the new professorship for conducting and choral conducting at the University of Catholic Church Music in Regensburg. His main interests are new music , which he promotes through numerous concerts in the Regensburg area. He is also the artistic director of the new music concert series for the first time. In addition to his conducting activities, he has been an organ expert for the Diocese of Regensburg since 1994 .
