Kuno Mittelstädt

Kuno Mittelstädt († August 2016 ) was a German publisher and art historian .

Life

Kuno Mittelstädt published art historical works in the Henschelverlag in Berlin / GDR from 1959 at the latest . He took over the management of the visual arts editor and in 1967 from Bruno Henschel the management of the publishing house. When the publisher went bankrupt in 1992, Mittelstädt left and then ran a bookstore with his wife in Vitte (Hiddensee Island) . He wrote works on the painters Albrecht Dürer , Eugène Delacroix , Paul Gauguin , Vincent van Gogh and others.
