Kunz Leder the Younger

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kunz Leder the Younger , also called Kunz Leyder the Younger "Scheltz" (* before 1392 in Heilbronn , † before March 23, 1413 ibid) worked as a judge in Heilbronn in 1392 and 1407. In 1402 he was mayor of the imperial city of Heilbronn together with Kunz Lutfried . In addition to the mayor Hans Erer the Elder , Kunz Leder the Younger was the highest taxed citizen of Heilbronn. He was married to Adelheid Bernhard.

Life

wealth

Along with Hans Erer, Konrad Leyder is considered to be the highest taxed citizen of Heilbronn. This is made clear, for example, by the fact that he was enfeoffed with the Heilbronn loading office, which was passed on to Conz Lederer's brother-in-law in 1360 by Emperor Karl IV.

Judge

In 1392 Leyder was mentioned as a judge, who on December 3, 1392, together with his colleague Konrad Hirt, sealed an agreement in which Johann Prettach acted as debtor and Heinz Wescher as creditor and Prettach pledged the dowry from his mother.

In 1407 Leyder was active again as a judge and on March 29, 1407, together with his colleague Heinrich Füwer, sealed an enfeoffment in favor of Hans Gartach.

Benefactor

Leyder also made himself known as a founder. On January 25, 1401 , the keepers of Kilian's Church received a donation of 50 guilders from Kunz Leyder and his wife Adelheid Bernhart. In 1409 the couple donated the benefice to St. Jakob, a chapel north outside the city walls, which was a branch of the Kilian's Church and around which the epidemic cemetery of Heilbronn's Katharinenspital was located. The objects of the foundation included a farm in Schluchtern , fields and meadows near Erlenbach and a “Höflein” in Flein .

mayor

In 1402 Leyder became mayor and on November 2, 1402, together with his colleague, Mayor Lutfried, sealed the purchase agreement between Dieter von Berlichingen and the Heilbronn Franciscan monastery .

death

Konrad Leyder died in 1413, because on March 23, 1413, the pastor of Kilian's Church was supposed to read a spiritual mass for the deceased Konrad Leyder on the "Agathentag" and on November 20, 1413 the keepers of the special hospital in Heilbronn certified a donation from the widow of Kunz Leyder , namely Adelheid Bernhartin, in favor of the special hospital.
