Lithuania 25 km west of the core city of Šiauliai on the A11 trunk road to Palanga . Kuršėnai is on the Venta . It is the center of the land office of the same name in the district of Šiauliai .
Kuršėnai (German Kurschenen ) is a city in northernThe place was first mentioned in 1561. The town charter was granted in 1946.
Sightseeing and economy
The Church of St. John the Baptist (1933) is in the town. There is a park, a calendar museum , a cultural center and a monument to Laurynas Ivinskis in Laurynas Ivinskis Square. The city has long been known for the manufacture of ceramics . There is a ceramic museum.
