Deividas R. Česnauskis (born June 30, 1981 in Kuršėnai , Lithuanian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Lithuanian football player and national player of his country.

Career

Deividas Česnauskis started his career in 1997 with Ekranas Panevėžys and moved to Dynamo Moscow in 2000 at the age of 19 in the Premjer League . He played several games for the Lithuanian U21 national team and played his first full international match against Estonia in 2001 at the age of 20 . Česnauskis scored his first goal for Lithuania in his first international match. After three years at Dynamo Moscow, he moved in 2003 to local rivals Lokomotiv Moscow before leaving for the 2004 season to FBK Kaunas transferred to promptly after Scotland at Heart of Midlothian to be awarded. He made his debut for the Hearts in the Scottish FA Cup against FC Kilmarnock . He scored the Hearts' last goal in a 3-1 win. He also scored his second goal in the Scottish Cup against Celtic Glasgow , but the team was defeated in the semi-finals.

In his second season, he helped the team to win the Scottish Cup competition by beating Partick Thistle 2-1 in the quarterfinals . In November 2006 he was seriously injured and was out for a long time. He only made his comeback in January 2008 in the away game against Dundee United and was voted "Player of the Game" when he returned to Tynecastle Stadium in a 1-1 draw against FC Kilmarnock . On January 12, 2008, he scored two goals in the Scottish FA Cup against Motherwell FC .

He scored his first and only league game goal on May 5, 2008 in a 2-1 win against FC Falkirk .

On February 26, 2009, he announced that he planned to leave Heart of Midlothian in the summer after he was no longer part of the regular squad and had played only a few games. On April 27, it was confirmed that Česnauskis and his teammate and compatriot Saulius Mikoliūnas had left the Hearts .

On June 9, 2009, he signed a two year contract with the Greek club Ergotelis .

His younger brother, Edgaras Česnauskis, is also a professional footballer and under contract with FK Dynamo Moscow .
