Kurt Breucker

Kurt Breucker (born November 25, 1934 in Wuppertal ) is a German lawyer.

Life

After studying law and obtaining a doctorate, he became a Dr. jur. 1963 joined the judicial service in Baden-Württemberg . At first he worked as a public prosecutor. He then became a judge and worked as a criminal judge at the District Court , the Stuttgart Regional Court and until 1996 at the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court .

From 1974 to 1980 he was a judge in the State Security Senate of the Higher Regional Court in Stuttgart. Under the chairmanship of Theodor Prinzing , later by Eberhard Foth , the Senate led the “Baader-Meinhof” trial against Andreas Baader , Ulrike Meinhof , Gudrun Ensslin and Jan-Carl Raspe in Stuttgart-Stammheim from May 1975 to April 1977 . Defenders included Otto Schily and (at times) Christian Ströbele .

After working as president of a large criminal court Breucker was 1989-1996 Chairman of the State Security Senate at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart and led the trials of after demise of the SED dictatorship in the GDR combined RAF terrorist Susanne Albrecht , Ralf Baptist Friedrich and Sigrid star Beck ; Other terrorist trials involved Adelheid Schulz and Sieglinde Hofmann and members of the PKK who were involved in the Schleyer kidnapping . He is a member of the Hohenstaufia Tübingen gymnastics association .
