Kurt Goecks

Kurt Göck (born December 23, 1884 in Dresden ; † March 26, 1976 ) was a German orthopedist and professor at the TH Dresden .

After graduating from the Dreikönigsschule in Dresden in 1905 , he studied medicine, most recently in Freiburg i. Br. 1908 to 1910 he became an assistant at the Physiological Institute at the University of Freiburg i. Br. And received his doctorate there in 1911. At the same time he received his license to practice medicine and then worked in pathology . From 1913 to 1918 he was an assistant at the University of Tübingen , while doing military service in the First World War. In 1919 he settled down as a general practitioner in Dresden and worked in the imperial supply system. 1925 followed the Habilitation at the Technical University Dresden for Orthopedics, 1931-1939 he was there a specialist in orthopedics and surgery until 1936 as extraordinary professor. In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler . From 1939 to 1945 he served as a medical officer in World War II. From 1945 to 1961 he practiced as an orthopedic surgeon in Greiz .
