Kurt Griemsmann

Kurt Griemsmann (* in the 20th century) was a German homeland researcher, author and founder and director of the adult education center in Großburgwedel .

Life

Kurt Griemsmann co-founded the Burgwedel adult education center in 1947 , which he directed for around two decades until around 1967. As a result, he was in contact with numerous teachers from the secondary school, founded by Auguste Brauns in particular , and the later Großburgwedel grammar school , who made themselves available as lecturers for the VHS.

Kurt Griemsmann wrote extensive chronicles such as Isernhagen in the county of Burgwedel or one with numerous illustrations, especially with historical images of the places Großburgwedel, Kleinburgwedel , Thönse , Wettmar , Engensen , Fuhrberg and Oldhorst . He also wrote articles in the periodical Heimatland published by the Heimatbund Niedersachsen . Magazine for local history, nature conservation, cultural maintenance under titles such as hop driver - with gold boxes to Jutland .

In 1974 Kurt Griesmann was awarded the Lower Saxony Order of Merit for his achievements .
