Bruno Vallette (born January 6, 1976 in Gérardmer , Vosges ) is a French mathematician .

Vallette studied mathematics from 1997 at the École normal supérieure de Lyon with the Agrégation 2000 and the DEA 2001. He received his doctorate in 2003 from the University of Strasbourg under Jean-Louis Loday ( Dualité de Koszul des PROPs ) and completed his habilitation in 2009 at the University of Nice Sophia -Antipolis ( Propérades en Algèbre, Topologie, Géométrie et Physique Mathématique ). From 2005 to 2015 he was maître de conférences there . From 2009 to 2011 he was a visiting scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn . Since 2015 he has been a professor at the University of Paris XIII.

It deals with higher algebraic structures from topology (operads) with applications in mathematical physics.

From 2016 to 2021 he is a junior member of the Institut universitaire de France.
