(6825) Irvine is an asteroid of the main inner belt discovered on October 4, 1988 by the Czech astronomer Antonín Mrkos at the Kleť observatory ( IAU code 046) near the town of Český Krumlov .
The celestial body was on 23 November 1999 by the British climber Andrew Irvine named (1901-1924), 1924 while trying together with George Mallory to Mount Everest to climb, did not return from the mountain.
