Kurt Helle-Haeusler

Kurt Helle-Haeusler (born September 12, 1894 in Blankenburg (Harz) , † March 23, 1965 in Braunschweig ) was a German politician ( DP ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Kurt Helle-Haeusler graduated from the Gauss School in Braunschweig. During the First World War he was a reserve officer from 1914 to 1918 and in the Eastern Border Guard until 1920 . He then completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and in 1939 became a partner in the gym equipment supplier Firma v. Dolffs & Helle in Braunschweig. The Gestapo persecuted him from 1933 to 1945.

Helle-Haeusler had been active in economic policy since 1945, and from 1948 as councilor. He was deputy state chairman of the DP in Lower Saxony and ran several times in constituency 50 and on the Lower Saxony state list (for the DP 1949: 22nd of 28 candidates; 1957: 29th of 34 candidates, for the GDP 1961: 17th of 32 candidates) to the German Bundestag . After recalculating the election results, Kurt Helle-Haeusler became a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (2nd electoral period) from April 17, 1953 to May 5, 1955 and was a member of the Federal Assembly in 1954. Through the unification of DP and GB / BHE he became part of the All-German Party , but switched to the CDU after it had failed due to the 5% hurdle in the 1963 state elections .

He was chairman of the general employers' association and the Braunschweig regional association of the Lower Saxony metal industry association. He was Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a commercial judge at the Regional Court.
