Kurt Kersten (politician)

Kurt Kersten (born July 31, 1901 in Holzminden ; † August 1, 1967 ) was a Hessian politician ( GB / BHE ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school, Kurt Kersten studied law and economics in Frankfurt am Main and Cologne . He was then a court assessor, in 1934 legal advisor at the German Labor Front and in 1939 department head in the Reich Ministry of Economics . From 1939 to 1945 he was a soldier and was wounded several times. In 1948 he returned from captivity and worked as a lawyer from 1951.

Since May 1, 1933 he was a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 2,292,552). He was also a member of the Sturmabteilung , in which he held the rank of SA Rottenführer. From 1939 he headed a department in the Reich Ministry of Economics .

Kurt Kersten was district chairman, chairman of the state committee, member of the state executive committee and the executive state executive committee of the GB / BHE. In local politics he was active as a community representative and district council member. From March 9, 1955 to November 30, 1962 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1959 he was a member of the 3rd Federal Assembly .
