Kurt Lentsch

Kurt Lentsch (born October 5, 1959 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 1997 to 2017 he was mayor of Neusiedl am See and from 2000 to 2015 a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Kurt Lentsch attended elementary school in Neusiedl am See and then moved to the Neusiedl grammar school , which he completed with the Matura. He then completed an apprenticeship as a tax advisor and accountant and works as an independent tax advisor, accountant and management consultant.

Lentsch is married and has three children.

politics

Lentsch has been a member of the Neusiedl am See municipal council since 1987 and has been a financial councilor since 1987. From 1997 to 2017 he was mayor of the municipality. After the municipal council election in 2017 , Elisabeth Böhm (SPÖ) succeeded him in this office.

He was also city party chairman and district chairman of the Economic Association. Within the party, he takes on the functions of the regional party chairman as well as the state finance officer in the Burgenland ÖVP and is a member of the state party executive committee and presidium.

Lentsch was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from December 28, 2000, and was elected 2nd President of the Landtag on October 25, 2005. He was a member of the petitions committee (chairman), the finance, budget and budget committee (chairman deputy) as well as a member of the main and economic committees. Lentsch was also the ÖVP area spokesman for finances and budget.

Awards

In 2018 he received the ring of honor of the city of Neusiedl am See.
