Kurt Schafflützel

Kurt Schafflützel (born May 12, 1942 , † August 1, 2009 in Steinmaur ; resident in Nesslau ) was a Swiss jockey and racehorse trainer .

Schafflützel, who grew up in Lucerne, was three times Swiss champion as a jockey and, in 1980, world champion of the world umbrella association of amateur racing riders, Fegentri. In 1987, at the age of 41, he became a professional racehorse trainer and was the best Swiss trainer 17 times in the overall flat and obstacle races . His base was in Dielsdorf .

Schafflützel was married and had children. He died on the night of August 1st, 2009 at the age of 67 after a serious illness.
