action
Homosexual Molina and Valentín are in a South American prison for different reasons: Molina for fornication with minors and Valentín for being a Marxist revolutionary. At the beginning there is a great dislike between the two, but over time friendship develops, with Molina also love. To escape the brutal everyday life in prison, Molina imagines film divas from the 1930s and 1940s. Above all, it is the diva Aurora in the role of the spider woman with her deadly kiss that takes up the most space in his fantasy. Over time, Valentín becomes infected by this fantastic world. Molina is finally released on condition that the police lead to Valentín's allies. However, he does not. He is arrested again and ends up in the same cell as before. There Aurora bends over to kiss him.
The plot differs from the novel only in a few details. At the end of the novel, Molina supports Valentín's fight and is shot in the process.
