The Kutev Peak (English; Bulgarian Кутев връх Kutew wrach ) is a 1100 m high and mostly icy mountain in the Havre Mountains in the north of the Alexander I Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 8.6 km east of Buneva Point , 9.31 km south-southeast of St. George Peak , 2.85 km southwest of Nicolai Peak and 5.25 km north to west of Simon Peak . The Lennon Glacier is to the north and the Pipkow Glacier is south of it. Its striking western slopes are partly not icy.
British scientists mapped it in 1971. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2017 after the Bulgarian composer and arranger Filip Kutew (1903–1982).
