Kyōko Yamauchi ( Japanese 山 内 京 子 , Yamauchi Kyōko ; born June 18, 1972 ) is a former Japanese biathlete .

Kyōko Yamauchi began biathlon in 1995. To do this, she had to go to the " winter combat training unit " (Tōsenkyō) of the ground self-defense forces , as is customary in Japan . In the same year she made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup at an individual at Holmenkollen in Oslo , which she finished in 75th. This was followed by repeated appearances in the World Cup until 1998. Her best result in the highest racing series in biathlon was in 1998 with a 49th place in a sprint in Pokljuka . The high point of Yamauchi's career was participation in the 1997 Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie , where she was used in the Japanese relay and was on the side of Mami Shindo , Hiromi Suga and Ryoko Takahashi 15th. After she could not qualify for the domestic Olympic Winter Games in Nagano in 1998 , she ended her career.
