Kylähullut was a Finnish metal and punk band from Tampere that was formed in 2003 and disbanded in 2012.

history

The band was founded in 2003 when guitarist and singer Alexi Laiho and singer Vesa Jokinen happened to be sitting at the same table in a restaurant called Telakka in Tampere, talking about music. A little later they worked on the first songs before they met in Laiho's house to carry out the only rehearsal there before the recording of the first sound carrier. The drummer and bassist Tonmi Lillman , whom Laiho knew from his work in the band Sinergy , was also present. This rehearsal was the first time Jokinen and Lillman met. In May 2004, under the name Keisarinleikkaus, followed a first EP consisting of four songs, which followed in January of the following year on the debut album Turpa Täynnä . This includes a cover version of the Klamydia song Aika . Kimberley Goss from Sinergy can be heard as a guest musician in the song Kylähullut . The group had their first appearance on July 30th at the Kuopio Rockcock in Kuopio . Another EP followed in 2007 with Lisää Persettä Rättipäille . In the same year a second album was also released, which was titled Peräaukko Sivistyksessä . In 2012 the band split up. Tonmi Lillman died on February 14 of that year at the age of 38.
