Kyla Pratt
Kyla Alissa Pratt (born September 16, 1986 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress and musician .
Life
Born in Los Angeles, Pratt is the oldest of five children. Her parents are Kecia Pratt-McCullar, a teacher, and John McCullar, a semi-professional basketball player.
Pratt has two daughters with Danny Kirkpatrick, a songwriter, hip-hop musician, and tattoo artist. Lyric Kai Kirkpatrick was born on November 17, 2010, Liyah Kirkpatrick on August 5, 2013.
Career
She started acting at the age of eight and got roles in various commercials for a computer game and for Nike . Pratt made her television debut in 1995 with the role of Breanna Barnes in the series Barney , then later in an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger . The following year she had guest roles on Friends , followed by roles in Smart Guy , Sister, Sister , All Under One Roof , Lizzie McGuire , Moesha , The Parent 'Hood and The Parkers .
In 2001 she won the role of Breanna Barnes in the UPN series One on One (2001-2006). She spoke Penny Proud , a character from The Prouds . Pratt also starred in films such as Love & Basketball , and Fat Albert (2004). She embodied Maya Dolittle in Dr. Dolittle and Dr. Dolittle 2 . She also played this role in the direct-to-video publications of Dr. Dolittle 3 (2006), Dr. Dolittle 4 (2008) and Dr. Dolittle 5 (2009). In 2009 she took on a supporting role in Das Hundehotel .
Singing career
As a member of the Disney Channel Circle of Stars, she sang a cover version of the song Circle of Life , which appeared on the Disneymania 2 CD. She also sang It's All About Me on the The Prouds soundtrack.
