Kyle Bratrud (born February 9, 1993 ) is an American cross-country skier .

Career

Bratrud started in January 2012 in Rumford for the first time in the US Super Tour and came in 106th place in the sprint and 68th place over 15 km freestyle. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2013 in Liberec , he finished 46th in the 10 km freestyle, 34th place in the skiathlon and 12th place with the relay. In January 2015 in Houghton he was the US champion in the 15 km freestyle and third in the 30 km mass start race. The following month at the U23 World Championships in Almaty in 2015 he took 37th place in the skiathlon and 19th place over 15 km freestyle and at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun, he took 52nd place over 15 km freestyle and 11th place the season. In the same month he ran his first race in the World Cup in Östersund , which he finished in 84th place over 15 km freestyle. At the U23 World Championships in Rasnov in 2016 , he came in 43rd place over 15 km freestyle and 29th place over 15 km classic. In January 2017, he was again the American 15 km freestyle champion in Soldier Hollow . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2017 , he finished 49th in the skiathlon, 33rd place over 15 km classic and tenth place with the relay. In February 2018 he finished third at the American Birkebeiner .

After third place in the Merino pattern and first place over 10 km freestyle in the Australia / New Zealand Cup in Snow Farm at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, he took four wins in the US Super Tour. He also came second twice, winning the overall ranking of the US Super Tour. In February 2019 he got his first World Cup points in Cogne with the 26th place over 15 km classic. At the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tirol , he finished 49th in the skiathlon , 31st place over 15 km classic and ninth place with the relay.
