Kyzyl-Suu (formerly Pokrowka ) is a village with around 15,000 inhabitants near the city of Karakol and south of Lake Issyk Kul in Kyrgyzstan . It is the capital of the Djeti-Ögus district .

Kyzyl-Suu is about 10 km south of the lake between Barskoon and the health resort Dscheti-Ögüs . It is located at the end of the Tschong-Kysylsuu valley, through which the Tschong Kysyl-Suu river flows. The village is the base for trekking and horse trekking tours .

Kyzyl-Suu is Kyrgyz and means 'red water': the water of the river is red in bad weather due to the red rocks in the area. The village is built in a typical Kyrgyz style. In the center there are several small shops and a bazaar. There is a cattle market on Sundays.
