László Csiba
László Csiba (born March 30, 1949 in Mosonmagyaróvár ) is a German writer.
Life
László Csiba was born in Hungary . He came to the GDR in 1968 and studied chemistry there . He had been a citizen of the GDR since 1974 and worked as a chemist, from 1978 as a translator and interpreter from Hungarian . From 1987 to 1991 he was a student at the literature institute "Johannes R. Becher" in Leipzig . Today he lives in Halle (Saale) .
László Csiba began writing literary texts in German in the 1960s. His work consists of stories, poetry and radio plays .
László Csiba has been a member of the Association of German Writers since 1994 , and is also a member of the Association of Writers in Saxony-Anhalt . In 1992 he received a residency grant from the Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf , in 1995 the Adelbert von Chamisso Prize and in 1996 a grant from the Kulturfonds Foundation .
