Broadcast content

The focus of the state case was current political issues that affect the people in Rhineland-Palatinate . The program consisted of film reports, reports and discussions with studio guests.

The state issue regularly attracted particular attention with its so-called political trend . The Politrend reports on the results of a representative survey in Rhineland-Palatinate and reflects the political mood in the state. In this survey, the so-called Sunday question is asked , among other things : "Which party would you vote if there was a state election next Sunday ?" In addition, the popularity of politicians in Rhineland-Palatinate and the opinions of citizens on political issues are regularly asked. The editors commission the independent opinion research institute Infratest dimap for this survey several times a year .

history

The country thing is the follow-up broadcast of Politik Südwest on Südwestfunk (SWF). Originally there were three state political magazines in the SWF: Landtag aktuell, Deutschhausplatz and Transparent changed weekly.

From 1993 the national political program was then called Politics on Thursday for a year. In 1994 this resulted in the magazine Politik Südwest. In the course of the merger of the SWF with the Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR) to form Südwestrundfunk (SWR), the Ländersache started in 1998.

Until 2009 there was one Ländersache broadcast for Rhineland-Palatinate and one for Baden-Württemberg . The state political television magazine from Baden-Württemberg was renamed in 2009 to On the matter of Baden-Württemberg . In Rhineland-Palatinate, the broadcast was called Ländersache until the end of 2010, after which it was called On the Rhineland-Palatinate cause! renamed.
