Birgitta Weber

Birgitta Weber (* 1962 in Siegen ) is a German journalist and as such a department head and television presenter at Südwestrundfunk (SWR) in Mainz . She moderates several SWR TV programs, for example on the Rhineland-Palatinate cause! , Exchange of words , People of the Year and special programs at major events and elections on ARD on SWR. She also heads the editorial department of the ARD political magazine Report Mainz .

biography

Birgitta Weber has been working for Südwestfunk since her studies in journalism , economics and comparative literature at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . In 1990 she completed an internship at SWR. Birgitta Weber has been the presenter of current programs live in front of the camera since 1992. In 1998 she took over the management of the state political magazine for Rhineland-Palatinate on the Rhineland-Palatinate cause! .

Birgitta Weber has headed the domestic television department of SWR in Mainz since 2003 and is therefore also the editor-in-chief of the ARD policy magazine Report Mainz .
