Wortwechsel is a series of the SWR . The transmission time was initially 60 minutes, but was reduced to 45 minutes after a year. The last time it was broadcast was Sunday evening, after 11 p.m., 30 minutes each. One prominent guest is invited each time. The guests are mostly representatives of politics or business, writers or artists. Guests included Helmut Kohl , Erwin Teufel and Marcel Reich-Ranicki . A broadcast with Alfred Herrhausen was recorded around six weeks before the fatal attack on him in 1989. Over 800 guests have been interviewed since 1982.
