Léon Léopold d'Ursel

Léon Léopold Comte d'Ursel (* 1867 , † 1934 ) was a Belgian diplomat and ambassador to the Holy See .

Life

Léon d'Ursel came from the noble family d'Ursel and was the son of Duke Joseph d'Ursel . His brother was Robert, the seventh Duke of Ursel, (born January 7, 1873 - April 16, 1955). In 1908 Léon Léopold, Count von Ursel, was Counselor in Paris . In 1913 he and his uncle, Marie Henri Adrien Aymard, Count von Ursel (* May 1849 in Brussels) participated as a representative in the cocoa tree plantation Ursélia Secunda , a joint stock company in Mayombe, in the calculation of the damage caused by the so-called Congo horrors .

His cousin, Prince Ferdinand de Croÿ (1867–1958), was a Catholic priest and papal diplomat.
