The Lübauer Gründel is a side valley of the Roten Weißeritz near Rabenau in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district . In the lower section there is a V-shaped valley , which as a part of since 1974 conservation area, the valley of the Red Weißeritz is shown.

The side valley is called Lübauer Gründel, which begins at the disused Lübauer Mühle and merges into the Spechtritzgrund below the Goldstampfe. It is in the districts of Lübau and Spechtritz .

history

As early as 1830, the Lübau grinding mill with an attached bakery is mentioned at the top. She drew the water from a pond above.

With the development of the hiking trail through the Spechtritzgrund in 1896, the footpath to Lübau was also laid, which is reached via a wooden bridge built in 2005. The twelve meter long roller girder bridge of the Weißeritztalbahn over the Borlasbach was built in 1882 and received a new superstructure in 1931 and 2002 after the floods .

The bottom is traversed by the Borlasbach , which rises near Paulshain and flows into the Rote Weißeritz.

Landscape protection

On July 4, 1974, the lower section was placed under protection as part of the "Tal der Roten Weißeritz" conservation area.
